Welcome to my blog, I want that bag. This site is built for all those ladies out there who are interested in beautiful lovely bags! Please leave comments on my blog I want that bag!
This one was really a shocker!!! It’s hideous right? What is that a shiny leaf or something lol? I hope i don’t see anyone walking around with this bag any time soon! Lanvin really needs to look at their line because they have been slacking lately.
When Lanvin sent their Spring 2011 collection down the runway, the overall theme was about structured handbags. It was the finale bags, small, egg-shaped, and funky, that caught our attention.
The bag that kept my attention however is the Lanvin Leaf Box Clutch. We did not cover this in our runway review, but it deserves a prevalent spot among other Spring 2011 bags.
The small clutch is a standout not only from the obvious gold leaf hardware on the front of the bag but also because of the snakeskin box shape. Instead of this being turned into a clutch, Lanvin made it shoulder wearable with a long brown leather strap. There is something very rugged chic (think Roman goddess) about this design and I am loving it. Shop Lanvin at Net-A-Porter.
Bottega Veneta makes unbelievable bags i think. I found this article by Amanda Mull - i really love her writing. Anyways look at this bag its gorgeous. It would work perfectly with my new dresses for this upcoming spring. Imagine walking around central park with something like this? Sitting down and having a glass of wine and a picnic! UH PERFECT!! CONCLUSION: i want that bag =) from Designer Handbag Reviews - PurseBlogby Amanda Mull1 person liked this
Everyone has seasonal colors that they tend to favor, and to me, nothing goes better with summer than lime green. If you’ve taken a look through Bottega Veneta’s Spring 2011 collection, you know that Tomas Maier has set the brand up to be one of the season’s best sources for lime, chartreuse and all shades in between. So far, my favorite of the options available is the Bottega Veneta Vernicetta Pitone Tote. For this design, the famous Bottega leather is woven in a rustic, basket-style way, but what you see here is far more luxurious than anything made out of straw ever could be.
As with any of Bottega’s beautiful bags, the main reason why I haven’t already ordered mine is the price. Yes, I know that BV’s craftsmanship is some of the best on the planet, and its seasonal bags in particular receive extra attention. But even then, this bag’s price exceeds six grand, and that can’t all be going toward the python handles. As much as I’d love to have this in my collection, I could get three Celine Luggage Totes for the same price and have money left over for new shoes. Buy through Barneys for $6200.
I just saw this Marc Jacobs bag….it looks hideous. Look at the gold straps they totally clash with the brown and the blag leather. The white one isn’t so bad….i’m usually not that impressed with Marc Jacob’s quality though honestly. I want that bag - NOT!
One of the biggest developments in handbag trends over the past few seasons has been the return of the reasonably sized handbag, called the “lady-scale” bag by some, in reference to the refined women who once carries purses of a similar size. Marc Jacobs was a major producer of giant, shoulder-aching handbags back when they were having their moment in the sun, but now that the entire spectrum of possible sizes is available retail, he’s downsized a bit with the Marc Jacobs Baroque Ingrid and the slightly more petite Marc Jacobs Baroque Faye. The big question, of course, is do you like them?
Although these bags are probably best suited for someone with a more traditional or professional personal style than yours truly, they’ve grown on me immensely over the course of the past couple of days. Marc Jacobs tends to do texture variation very well, but he so often does it in bags that are too esoteric to appeal to the average consumer who needs a bag to at least mostly sane, so the fact that these bags could potentially work in many wardrobes is something of a boon to the design as a whole. They may not be everyday workhorses, but they’re probably fun enough to bring out on the regular when the sun is shining anyway.
Any post about Chanel handbags always elicits a fair amount of grumbling from longtime fans of the French brand who feel that its handbags have grown too faddish or lost their traditional Chanel feel, and when you look at the last few collections, perhaps those folks do have a point. If you’re among them, though, I’d heartily advise you to take a look through Chanel Spring 2011 Pre-Collection Handbags, which contains less handbag gimmickry than most of us have grown accustomed to from Lagerfeld & Co. If these bags are an indication of what’s to come for spring, I bet I’ll know a lot of happy Chanel fans.
We all make mistakes from time to time. Today I caught a handbag-world mistake from one of our favorite stores, Barneys, in labeling a handbag. The bag is marked as the Lanvin Large Leather Cabas, but this is no Lanvin bag. This bag is in fact a mix between the Proenza Schouler Keep All and Shopping Tote – meaning it is a Proenza Schouler Bag.
